RAISE (Resources, Artistic Innovation and Social Enterprise) aims to encourage a creative economy and look towards establishing a social enterprise. This transborder project has come about as the result of a callout by the Arts Centre Trust via the EU network, artists from Pays de Redon et Vilaine responded. We are delighted they did! The creative work is a natural progression for us and builds on our experience working with artists in the fields of puppetry and performance. We also share a key aim to reach into the community, in particular to work with marginalised groups, helping to re-establish self-confidence and encourage social entrepreneurship. In fact, central to the whole project is the aim to set up a social enterprise. We will be investigating the use of puppets and puppet theatres and our partners in Redon will be working on Shadow Puppets and investigating how to animate them for Shop windows. We will explore the use of sustainable materials throughout the project. This is a year long project and is our second successful EU bid
