Follow the Herring is a project funded by the Arts Council and the Customs House which will be presented in the King�s Lynn Arts Centre on the way from South Shields to Hastings.
This project includes various workshops , an exhibition and a theatre show: Get up And Tie Your Fingers! (see brochure)
The Boat Exhibition will take place in the Shakespeare Barn from May 27- 31. All pieces created in the preceding workshops will be shown alongside the knitted boat.
All artwork can be collected after the end of the exhibition, with the exception of the knitted herring who will join the shoal and travel south.

Having had 11 Creative Apprentices at the Arts Centre during the last 3 years, many of whom have benefited from foreign experiences and giving wonderful feedback about being abroad we hope to become shortly a sending organisation for young people aged between 18-30 years old and give them the opportunity to do a voluntary experience in a European country!

The Project Room, devised by two of the Arts Centre's education interns, is taking its first steps - and we want young people to get involved!
Open to students between the ages of 16 and 22, The Project Room is a free workshop-led programme which poses the questions 'what is Art's place in society?' and 'how can Art develop into a career?'
